“For the new RTL HD campaign we were extremely pressed for time, because we had so many scenes to shoot within two days. Therefore we needed a camera with a very fast workflow without any rendering or debayering time. Consequently the HS-2 with its HD workflow was definitely the right choice”, Frank Schlieder, Production Manager of the RTL Creation GmbH is sure of.

The HD stream assured not only a real-time Data transfer between the camera and the uncompressed HD-SDI single and dual link recorder Digimag DM-2, it guarantees equally the Data transfer from the Digimag to the Post Production in real-time.
Thanks to the HD workflow of the HS-2 the post production was able to begin its work during the first shooting day.

To demonstrate the economy of time we added an illustration of the HD workflow with an example of 8 minutes material.
With the HD workflow 8 minutes material need 8 minutes to be transferred from the camera to the Digimag and 8 minutes to be transferred from the Digimag to the post production in real time. There is no additional convert time. The material can be edited right after capturing and you get exactly the same image that you saw on the set.
