Weisscam Software can't recognize footage from my PC:

Weisscam Software can only read RAW Data (single / dual link). Other formats are supported by Iridas.

I get the error message, "Actual frame rate is not allowed. Press any button" when I try to transfer files from my computer to the DigiMag.

The Digimag will only accept files directly from the camera, not from a PC. If you attempt to transfer files from a computer onto the Digimag, you will receive this error message.

Does the Digimag use solid state or spinning disk storage? Is there any built-in redundancy?

The Digimag uses standard disks totaling approximately 2 TB. Net available storage is approximately 1,5 TB, and includes RAID 6 protection. (RAID 6 = Striping plus dual parity blocks)

What is the transfer speed from the camera to the Digimag?

The Camera and Digimag are connected via HD-SDI (single or dual link) and transfer is in real-time; max. 120fps in dual link RAW.

Is it possible to record lower frame rates directly to the Digimag, or does it have to be recorded to the camera’s RAM first?

Yes, it is possible to record directly to the Digimag using the “DIRECT REC“ Function on the camera.

How is the Digimag connected to the camera; by direct connection or cable?

The Digimag connects via a Power cable and BNC for video.

Is the RAW image compressed?

No. The RAW image is 12-bit uncompressed.

What connection types can used between the Digimag and other a computer or other devices?

The Digimag supports Firewire 400 and Fibrechannel. For “playout” to capture cards in real-time, a single/dual link HD-SDI is needed.
