WEISSCAM has broken new ground: The HS-2 is used to shoot 3D for “THE THREE MUSKETEERS” and the first German language 3D real life action movie ever “WICKIE AND THE TREASURE OF THE GODS”!

When Constantin Film asked Weisscam to be a part of its filming of the new “THE THREE MUSKETEERS” – a cinema production directed by Paul WS Anderson and filmed extensively in Bavaria and Berlin – you can imagine how thrilled we were.

“This was the first time that in addition to the ARRI ALEXA the WEISSCAM HS-2 has been used for 3D production in a big-budget feature film.” Weisscam Managing Director, Stefan Weiss remarked. “And it performed the task with fantastic results.

Working on such a large scale production, and being part of a set with more than 300 people, was a completely new and very exciting experience for us. We consider this production for Constantin Film as an important milestone in the growing adoption of the HS-2 in mainstream cinema and look forward to even more in the near future.”

And another German production company, Rat Pack Filmproduktion was also so confident in the quality and capabilities of WEISSCAM HS-2, that they have asked us to film the 3D high-speed sequences for “WICKIE AND THE TREASURES OF THE GODS” (directed by Christian Ditter)

With the experience of two large-scale 3D feature films behind us, Weisscam has now optimized their HS-2 3D system and is making it available as a rental package.
